The test cycles on the CHIMERA pilot plant continue, from the tests relating to the setup of the sensors to the analyzes on the chicken manure and the product made, up to the energy balance. The CHIMERA team at the Renders & Renders poultry company partner of 3P Engineering in the European project, is conducting new tests in the Netherlands to optimize the functionality of the pilot plant: in the photo, Rosalino Usci, Dissemination & Networking Manager of CHIMERA with Mark Renders, owner together with his brother Jack, of the Dutch poultry company. At the end of the test cycle, particular attention was paid to the combustor which is inspected to check the grain size and distribution of the ash on the grate. Furthermore, the analyzes on the output of the plant continue, in relation to the fertilizer with regard to the composition and in view of its classification. The pilot plant will continue to work in a continuous cycle even after the end of the European project on 31 December 2022, during the After-LIFE period, so that the technological innovation that characterizes CHIMERA can become a new solution for the poultry market, under the banner of sustainability.

The 25th edition of Ecomondo, the international exhibition of the circular economy of the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) was held in Rimini November 8-11, at the same time as "Key Energy", the event dedicated to renewable energies and with the "General States of the Green Economy" (November 8-9). Three days of event, 1,400 stands on 130,000 square meters of the fair, over 600 buyers from 90 different countries around the world. Several topics addressed by the PNRR impacting on circularity supply chains, water management, from the blue economy, to macro areas of interest such as research and innovation, finance and training, agri-food, for a total of 160 events (94 from Ecomondo and 66 of Key Energy) of which 32 with the presence of representatives of the European Commission: this year the executive agencies CINEA, EISMEA and REA participated jointly in Ecomondo. REA European Research Executive Agency funds research and innovation projects that generate knowledge for the benefit of society. EISMEA European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency implements the European Innovation Council and manages other European programs for SMEs, innovation and the single market. Finally, the mission of CINEA European Climate Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency is to support the implementation of the European Green Deal through the management of funding programs, e.g. LIFE projects, which also includes CHIMERA GA n. LIFE15 ENV/IT/000631. In addition to the European Commission, the event was attended by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, up to the Foundation for Sustainable Development and the Consortia of the supply chain.
