LIFE CHIMERA: A NEW ARTICLE ON “AGRONOTIZIE THE NEWS FOR AGRICULTURE”

A new article has been dedicated to the LIFE CHIMERA project by "AgroNotizie the news for agriculture", a reference magazine in the sector with services on current events, innovations and technical systems, which allows agricultural entrepreneurs, technicians and professional operators to know and deepen several information from the evolution of legislation to new technologies. "Fertilizer and energy from poultry manure: a new technology Made in Italy" is the title of the article on CHIMERA which illustrates the new technology based on two patents, enhancing chicken manure in a circular economy perspective, at sign of innovation and sustainability. Focus on the Pilot Plant which can be installed at the poultry farm thanks to its size (15 × 9 × 6m), to treat the chicken manure immediately and avoiding some management activities such as shelter or storage. The article highlights how CHIMERA's goal is to combine environmental sustainability with economic sustainability, to create value in the agricultural sector in the face of the surge in raw material costs and market uncertainty, focusing on new models that allow a green transition, to increase productivity and efficiency while respecting the environment. Read the full article

PILOT PLANT: CHIMERA IN THE NETHERLANDS

A new milestone for CHIMERA: the pilot plant is running in the Netherlands at the Renders&Renders kennel (partner of 3P Engineering in the LIFE project), in the Noord-Brabant region, managed by Mark and Jack Renders (in the photo with the CHIMERA team). In the Netherlands, the plant will operate continuously for 6,000 hours a year, disposing of at least 1,500 tons of chicken manure per year. The Pilot Plant is equipped with ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) for the conversion of heat into electricity: the challenge is to ensure complete self-sufficiency for the farm in terms of thermal energy (production 4.5 GWh per year) and get about 150 tons of fertilizer. The water obtained from the treatment of chicken manure, which is a wet substance, is completely reused to hydrate the ashes and reduce the polluting emissions contained in the fumes, without any dispersion.
