Focus on the #Agrifood area promoted by the Regional Observatory on smart specialization of the Marche Region, on June 16, 2021: the CHIMERA team followed the “AGRIFOOD Thematic Table” which took place live streaming and live at the Teatro dell’Iride in Petritoli (FM, Italy). The Cluster AGRIFOOD Marche CLAM Association is an aggregation made up of the four Universities of the Marche (UNIVPM, UNICAM, UNIURB, UNIMC), Research Institutes, companies that are linked to the agricultural and food world, trade associations and service companies that collaborate among them to satisfy the need for innovation along the entire agro-food chain of the Marche region. The meeting was an opportunity to take stock of the sector and respond to several important issues including intercepting the new market needs and the needs of companies to increase their innovation capacity and the essential competitiveness factors to strengthen the presence, on international markets. The thematic table dedicated to the “AGRIFOOD” area sees the involvement of innovative companies, start-ups, researchers, young talents, incubators, sector experts and other important players in innovation and research. The goal is to define the main innovation challenges, the potential and the most promising technological trajectories for the regional production system on which to concentrate the resources of the next programming period.
