On 24th November, the CHIMERA team participated at the webinar “Regulatory Developments on manure recycliyng, organized by European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP). The European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform brings together companies and stakeholders to address the Phosphorus Challenge and its opportunities as the sustainable management of phosphorus is crucial for agriculture, food, industry, water and the environment. The aim of this webinar was to enable discussion and questions. After the opening by Ludwig Hermann, ESPP President, an overview and perspectives of manure regulatory challenges were presented, to continue the event with the EU Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR). In Agenda point 2 = Animal By-Products (ABPs) in FPR, ash derived products also were analysed. A particularly interesting session for CHIMERA as the ashes generated by the combustion process during the fertilizer production process, are introduced into the fume treatment circuit of CHIMERA system, and the final product obtained is a mud that is rich also in phosphorus.
