In Milan with Assofertilizzanti and the Polytechnic

This morning we were at the seat of Assofertilizzanti, an association belonging to Federchimica that has, among its members, 55 fertilizers’ producers in Italy, representing the 80% of the national market.

CHIMERA project generated high interest: we discussed about the EU Directive evolution but, mainly, about the business model of the companies working in this field (mineral, organic and specialist fertilizers).

This is a complete new playing field for us and it is of utmost importance to confront with authoritative interlocutors such as Assofertilizzanti in order to understand this market.

Taking advantage of the trip to Milan, we also met in the afternoon with Professor Silena Sironi of the Department of Chemicals, Materials and Chemical Engineering of the Polytechnic of Milan. We talked about smell emissions and started to understand how to conduct sampling and analysis. This is extremely important because we want to prove that “CHIMERA doesn’t smell bad”!
