The CHIMERA team participated on 4 March 2022 in the 115th edition of FIERAGRICOLA, in Verona, with 520 exhibitors, ten pavilions, 29 foreign delegations. After the opening at the International Summit for the sixty years of the Common Agricultural Policy (PAC), focus on sustainability, agro-ecology, protection of the soil, resources, the environment and nature and circular economy. Inspired by the Circular Economy, the LIFE project developed by 3P Engineering and dedicated to the poultry sector intends to enhance the chicken manure, transforming it into fertilizer, and thermal and electrical energy, according to an innovative process (based on two patents) with a small-sized plant. As emerged at the Verona event, innovation in the agricultural field is among the most decisive levers for the near future, which will be characterized by “smart” agriculture, with increasingly digital rural development and attentive to productive resources, environmental factors, climate and social issues, transparency and cooperation of supply chains, the circular economy, so as to reduce waste and enhance reuse. This is exactly what happens with LIFE CHIMERA, which allows a process of ecological transition: not only eliminating the costs of chicken manure management, but also providing the reuse of the waste by-product in agriculture, thanks to an N-P-K fertilizer obtained from the plant.
