On 30 September 2022 CHIMERA and LIFEBIOAs (LIFE19 ENV / IT / 000512) organized a meeting for Networking purpose between LIFE projects. LIFEBIOAs aims to demonstrate the environmental and economic feasibility of a process for the production of an innovative bio-adsorbent and, simultaneously, its use for the purification of drinking water from arsenic. As highlighted during the meeting, the two LIFE projects both aim at the enhancement of waste / resources: in the case of CHIMERA, a new technology based on two patents is exploited, while in the case of LIOFEBIOAs, it is used a gasification process. In addition, for both LIFE projects, prototypes and pilot plants have been built, in particular in the case of LIFEBIOAs, three pilot plants, one for water treatment and two for the production of bio-adsorbents.
