An official visit to the Pilot Plant has been organized to show the new technology developed by 3P Engineering (2 patents), during the event organized by 3P Engineering to celebrate #LIFEis30, on 27th May 2022. During the visit, it has been explained how CHIMERA allows you to use the chicken manure as it is and on site, to transform it into thermal energy, electricity, and fertilizer, using a limited size plant (15 × 9 × 6h m). Rosalino Usci, Dissemination & Networking Manager of CHIMERA and Michele Marcantoni, Project Manager of CHIMERA, illustrated all the steps of the process to the participants by answering the various questions: breeders, academics, journalists, trade representatives, took part in the visit. The official presentation has been organized by 3P Engineering before the Pilot Plant is going to work in the Netherlands at Renders & Renders, a broiler farm and partner of the European LIFE CHIMERA project. In the Noord-Brabant region, where CHIMERA will operate in a continuous cycle, the new technology will allow the farm to be self-sufficient in terms of thermal energy (production 4.5 GWh per year) with the aim to obtain about 150 tons of fertilizer.
