On behalf of the European Commission (DG Environment) a Ricardo-led consortium is organising a number of consultation activities within the context of the “Revision of the Industrial Emissions Directive”. Ricardo is a global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy that specialises in the transport, energy and scarce resources sectors: the first workshop for stakeholders was on 15 December 2020 and the second workshop took place on 7 July 2021. Some different Policy Options have been considered: more effective IED;  more effective and ambitious on innovation; more effective and ambitious on chemicals, resource efficiency and circular economy; more effective and a more central role in decarbonising industry; cross-cutting measures addressing new sectors i.e. scope extensions.
